"She prayed and prayed they would stop photo shopping her legs and accept her just as she was."

MY FAVOURITE PAGE by Karin
Yesterday I officially went public with this project by announcing it at the Bookcases art group. It's more than a bit scary, sending my "baby" out into the world and realising that I just have to let go of trying to control what happens next.

STRETCHING THE COMFORT ZONE by Karin
This is actually a confronting book for me. The images are so fabulous, it almost feels like I am being disrespectful to another artist. It's not like it's a bunch of boring text.
But what the heck? The book was languishing on a shelf in a charity shop. It wasn't being admired anymore . And creation and destruction are all part of a greater cycle. So I have embraced the challenge of going outside my comfort zone and trusted the impulse which set this project in motion.

MY FIRST PAGE by Karin
I love the delicious bigness of this book.
There's so much of the page to play on. Just as well it's going from hand to hand. It would cost a fortune to post.

SETTING THE VIBE from Karin
I started by designing title and welcome pages, so that right from opening the first page, people could have a sense of adventure and fun.
To give us lots of room to glue and add in bits, I tore some pages out of the centre of sections. These have been tossed into the back of the book for recycling.
At the end I have also designed some sign on pages, so contributing artists could leave any contact details they wanted to share.
Please remember to sign your work as well!!
